Additional Keyboard Shortcuts in Desktop App

It would be great to support additional keyboard shortcuts in the desktop app, similar to those available in iTunes / Apple Music for macOS.

For users like myself who are using Finer as a replacement for iTunes, maintaining familiar shortcuts would make the transition much smoother and reduce the need to relearn core playback controls.

As a reference, the full list of Apple Music (macOS) keyboard shortcuts can be found here:
https://support.apple.com/en-ca/guide/music/mus1019/mac

In particular, I regularly use shortcuts for:

  • Playing / pausing

  • Skipping to the next and previous tracks

  • Moving forward or backward within a track

  • Adjusting volume up and down

  • Muting audio

Aligning with (or optionally allowing customisation to match) the Apple Music shortcut set would significantly improve usability and efficiency for desktop users transitioning from iTunes.

I’d really like to see additional shortcuts for showing what’s the currently playing and opening/closing the queue. These are the equivalents from Apple Music:

Command-L - Show the currently playing song

    Option-Command-U - Show the queue

Amazing work! I can now adjust the volume via keyboard! :-)

This is great proposal I think, now released with v1.35.0:

Added keyboard shortcuts for playback — seek backward/forward (⌥⌘← / ⌥⌘→), volume down/up (⌘↓ / ⌘↑), and mute toggle (⌥⌘M). All shortcuts are listed under Help → Keyboard Shortcuts (⌘/).
